Dr Singh who runs his botox clinic in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, in his latest blog shares his thoughts on botox in men.

The majority of my botox patients are females, as much as 95%. However we do treat men for a number of reasons.

The most common is they have been convinced that they need botox from their female partners. As part of the consent process, we would only carry out botox if that particular individual wanted it and was not forced by another individual.

Then there are certain men that are concerned by their fine lines and wrinkles and seek a remedy via botox treatments.

When treating men we would normally require larger doses of the botox as the muscles are much stronger compared to women. I have also found that the botox does not last as long in men.

The other consideration, when treating men with botox is to avoid the feminine look. Most females would like an eyebrow lift, but this is a no no for men. We would therefore adjust the botox dose and where the botox is injected accordingly.

Same as women, most men like to keep the botox a secret and very rarely tell others about it.
